The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program offers free tax preparation help to low-to-moderate income taxpayers.

This service is for basic forms only. To cancel, please use the link on the confirmation email you will be sent or call Evesham Library at 856-983-1444. (See notes below for PTR Form***)

Please be on time for your appointment and be sure to check in with the AARP Greeter in the Adult Fiction section of the library when you arrive.

Please bring the following with you to your appointment, as applicable:

1. Your completed 2024 IRS Intake/Interview Review Form **
2. Copy of last year’s tax return
3. Proof of Identity (NJ Driver’s License, etc.)
4. Social Security Cards for all individuals to be listed on the return
5. Info on health insurance coverage: Form 1095-A if you have healthcare through the Marketplace/ACA
6. Copies of ALL tax documents: i.e. W2s, 1099s, interest statements such as 1098 for mortgage, brokerage statements, property tax statement, Social Security forms
7. If unemployed during last year, info on unemployment received and taxes paid if any. (Will need to obtain this info from the unemployment office online. It will not be sent to you.)
8. Bank account information for direct deposit of refund (i.e. blank check showing routing and account number)
9. Amounts of any other income such as stock sales, basis of stock sales, gambling winnings, interest, dividends
10. Child care provider’s identification number and address is applicable
11. College expenses or interest paid by taxpayer
12. Amount and dates of estimated tax payments if any
13. Summary of health care out of pocket expenses including mileage for appointments
14. Summary of charitable donations
15. Home purchase or sale info if any in 2024
16. Copy of last year’s PTR*** if applicable
17. Monthly amount if you pay rent

* Note: AARP cannot prepare your taxes if you own rental property, cryptocurrency or any digital asset.

** If you are unable to print out the 2024 IRS Intake Form but wish to fill it out ahead of time, you may stop by the library and ask for the form at the Reference Desk.

*** PTR Form (Property Tax Rebate): If you only have a PTR Form (blue booklet) to fill out and do not need your taxes filed, you do not need an appointment. When you have all the information for your booklet, you may drop in to have it filled out on a Tuesday or a Thursday, 1pm to 3pm.
