The Alice Austen House Museum executive director will present a live virtual tour of the 1983 landmark press photo series of Audre Lorde by Robert Alexander. Lorde (1932 – 1992) dedicated her life and creative talent to confronting racism, sexism, classism and homophobia.

This tour explores the relationship between language and activism as well as how photographic composition conveys different messages. The exhibition holds up a lens to the contemporary women's movement and considers how Lorde's words resonate today.
