Joylette Hylick is the daughter of Katherine Johnson, the gifted mathematician portrayed in Hidden Figures and the soon-to-be-released My Remarkable Journey - A Memoir. Johnson has been globally recognized for both her outstanding contributions to space travel and her historical role as one of the first African-American women to work as a NASA mathematician.

Hylick is also a mathematician and information technology professional in her own right, spending time at NASA Langley Research Center as a mathematician and retiring from Lockheed Martin.

In this program, Hylick will speak about her mother's experiences as well as her own. She will also discuss the importance for STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), especially for young people. This event includes a Q&A session.
